Paws-Ability’s First Annual Bicycle Poker Run, scheduled for Saturday, October 29, will benefit the animal shelters and rescue groups of Brunswick County.  Participants do not need to know how to play poker.  There will be great prizes for the winning hand and the worse hand.  There is no skill to this poker game, only fun.
Registration for the event will begin at 1:00 p.m. at the Ocean Isle Inn on Ocean Isle Beach.  Participants will be directed to four locations on the island to draw a card for their poker hand.  Those who are unable to ride a bicycle may participate in street ready golf carts.  The event will end with a poolside party at the Ocean Isle Inn.  The party will include hot dogs, hamburgers, beer and soft drinks as well as a silent auction.  The registration fee is $25 per rider.
To register, mail a check with participant's name, email address and phone number to:  Paws-Ability, P.O. Box 6174, Ocean Isle Beach, NC 28469, or visit the Paws-Ability web site, http://www.paws-ability.org/Bicycle-Poker-Run.html to register and pay on line.
